During the fall season, Adult Swim debuted a new season of its unconventional hit, Smiling Friends. But, later that same month, the channel launched a completely new animated series with a strikingly different tone. Haha, You Clowns proved to be heartwarming and calm, reminiscent of a animated take of a laid-back talk show. A Significant Investment
On December 18th, Adult Swim confirmed a big renewal: Haha, You Clowns has been greenlit for two more seasons. This provides showrunner Joe Cappa significant creative freedom to further explore the story of the Campbell family. The series focuses on three polite teenage brothers whose defining trait is their deep love for their widowed father, with Cappa voicing for all four key characters.
"I’m so grateful to the fans of the show who welcomed the series and shared it with others," said Cappa. "It's thrilling that I get to spend more time in the Campbell household for the foreseeable future."

Accompanying the news commendation from Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen, who called the series as "radically heartfelt and oddly captivating." He thanked the fans who discovered the show and championed its uniquely offbeat style.

“There's this level of irony that we keep returning to,” explained Cappa. “The attitude is that we have to know we’re the smartest person in the room when we're watching stuff. I feel like we've been doing this for 10 years, and we just have to laugh at something different now. Comedy has to evolve.”
