During a commanding performance, the English national team wrapped up one more victory versus Albania, with multiple squad members producing notable performances throughout the game.

Starting XI

Dean Henderson Was rarely tested to perform in the first half until forced to intervene from Arbër Hoxha’s curled attempt. His sliding tackle on an Albanian attacker demonstrated sharp anticipation. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Tested by the opposition's biggest threat through their forward. Played through the middle initially but moved out wide once Saka was introduced. 7

The defender Pushed forward on the ball, a familiar role before. At times lacked urgency in possession with the experiment abandoned at half-time. 6

Dan Burn A constant threat at set pieces, per usual, could serve as a replacement to his teammate at the back rather than his partner. One wayward pass in the second half came close to an opener from the visitors. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly A further assured performance from the 20-year-old after his debut versus Serbia. Saka did not capitalize on the most of a clever flick behind the opposing backline. His position looks secure already. 7

The newcomer His first start for his country. Somewhat sloppy on the ball but his whipped deliveries posed a danger. A handy pace-controller available to the manager to have against teams who drop deep. Cautioned for a rash challenge. 6/10

The midfielder Set-pieces from corners and free kicks caused problems. Enjoyed license to move on the left yet found himself offside when the ball arrived with a chance to score. Granted a well-earned rest around the 60-minute point. Six

The star midfielder Functioned in an advanced position on the right and did plenty of dirty work. Showed flashes of quality and mishit an effort wide. Substituted in the closing stages by a teammate, his competition, after being booked. Seven

The winger Was presented with England’s top opening before halftime, his shot excellently kept out from Thomas Strakosha. With a teammate holding position, it fell to him to provide width down the right side yet his deliveries into the box were inconsistent. Taken off with 15 to go. 6

Harry Kane The match-winner netting two more strikes for his country. His first a classic opportunist's goal and his next a superb finish with his head having drifted away from his marker. At 32, he’s only getting better and England stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him leading the line. 8/10

The attacker Had difficulty to influence play from the left. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by Bellingham but the keeper kept it out. His replacement had a greater influence when substituted. Five

• Phil Foden (for Rice 63) Was bright and linked up effectively with the striker in a natural spot, 6/10
• Bukayo Saka (on for Eze 63) Failed to convert yet his delivery provided the first goal, 6/10
